Meet the Ghosties:

Kelly Ichinose is a Fine Arts photographer living in the suburbs of Chicago. In 2012 she received her BA from Northeastern Illinois University. Her work deals with the intimate habits of people in their daily lives: mainly with the complex relationship between Americans and food by exploring the themes of eating obsessions, habits, and disorders. Using over-exaggerated and sometimes grotesque imagery, she elicits a visceral reaction in her audience. In 2012, she exhibited a solo show at Northeastern Illinois University and has had work in the 2011 Northeastern Annual Student Juried Art Show, 2011 Fire Show, and the 2010 North Park Art Walk. Kelly Ichinose has also received Northeastern’s Special Skills Scholarship in 2010 and 2011 for her skills in photography.

Stay tuned over the next couple of days for a sampling of Kelly’s work.
